What we collect
- The details you enter in the quote form: name, phone, email, postcode, service needed, property type, timeframe and any details you add.
- Technical data needed to run and protect the service: the page you submitted from, the date and time, and a one-way hashed version of your IP address used to stop spam. We don't store your raw IP address with your enquiry.
- If spam protection is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile processes limited device and browser signals to check that you're not a bot.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To match you with installers and pass on your enquiry. Lawful basis: your consent, given with the tick box on the form, and taking steps at your request before a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and (b)).
- To prevent spam and abuse, and keep records of enquiries. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a secure service (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who we share it with
- Up to 3 independent installers who cover your area, so they can contact you about your enquiry. Each installer is a separate data controller for the data once they receive it, and their own privacy policy applies.
- Our service providers, who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, database and spam protection), and any email or CRM provider used to send leads – to confirm. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or UK adequacy regulations.
We don't sell your data to marketing lists, and we don't use it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for 24 months from submission, then delete or anonymise them, unless we need them longer to deal with a complaint or legal claim.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we've already shared, but we'll ask installers we've sent it to to stop using it. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
